Asking for help regarding the armor

Yo peepz!

I am on day 8 and just about to head to the island but struggling to find all the armor pieces. Got the boots and the chest piece so far.
Quest-wise I neglected talking to Cuno for a long time, since I struggled to find the dialog-option for it (it was easy to find after all). He then pointed me to talk to the "jolly Mesque", which I did waaaay before and now obviously the dialog option with him isn't there anymore.

Which means I can't progress in the quest line. Does anyone one of you stellar minds out there have a solution for me? Or will I just have to abandon the armor for this play through?

I know how to get the gauntlets but even Cindy is gone...
