End of Day Debrief

I intentionally spent all of my money on vodka so that I would not have enough money to pay for the hotel room, but now I can't figure out how to end Day 1 lol
Anyone know what to do? I tried taking Kim to the balcony myself, as he would if I paid my debt, but it didn't work. I want to be a good Hobocop and sleep on the bench, but I can't while Kim is around.

Let's see... Kim will finally bail you out but you need to trigger the conversation. Talk to the Hotel Clerk and see if things will progress from there.

Nope, I was talking in the Disco Elysium discord and came to the conclusion I softlocked my game. Had to do a save edit.

I intentionally spent that money, I softlocked myself in the process. I also was salvaging tare and took all of the money I could from the union boss. I wanted to test the limits of the hobocop thought. They were apparently restrictive.

This WAS a softlock, and the only solution was a save edit. The developers should consider a bench update.

Might have been a different issue there. I was also broke by the end of day 1 so with Kim by my side i kept asking the -bartender- cafeteria manager to give me the room that in the end Kim helped me out. However if you spend the money from Kim too then yeah, you may get softlocked, haven't gone that far.
