Stuck on Day 5

I am well and truly stuck. I've been able to figure things out so far, but it's 08:25 on day 5 and I have no idea what to do.

My remaining tasks are:

Make Van Eyck's jam harder core
Look for Ruby on the coast
Help Soona with her project
Get Acele to talk about her associates
Help the ravers start a nightclub
Sync sines with Noid
Determine where the shot came from

Basically nothing happens until I get the ravers into the church. I found the tape for Egghead, but I can't get it out of the tree and don't know how to get the challenge unlocked. (I didn't get the magnetic dice, but I have just about everything else.)

Without the tape I can't get the ravers into the church, which means I can't help Soona with her project or sync sines with Noid or get Acele to talk about her associates until I get them in there.

I can't get into the Feld building to find Ruby because climbing the ladder is out and I couldn't open the basement door and now that challenge is also locked.

As for determining where the shot came from I can't look for bullet signs on the boardwalk until I get into the Feld building and I can't go to the island until closer to endgame.

I'm not sure how to unlock the challenges I need to move forward and I'm running around in circles.

What am I missing? I've really enjoyed this game and I'd really like to finish.

I'm considering giving up and starting over with a new character.

A lot of mandatory checks will unlock as days pass, so you could read until you're able to sleep and try some of them again the next morning. The Shivers check on the Feld billboard if that's still available, can modify other checks as well.

Can I read even if Kim is with me? He’s there every day now.

You can, and time will pass even if you're rereading books you've already read.

I should mention that I already maxed out my skill levels.

You get bonuses to certain checks just by making it to the next morning. It's not about skill levels, in this case. It might be possible to lock yourself out of some stuff, not sure, but I believe anything mandatory to finishing the game will reset the next day.
