I don´t know why this thread continues. But seriously, people need to chill out.

Just because you are being exposed to a communist manifesto (which this game is not as me and several others have stated over and over) doesn´t mean you are gonna turn into Karl Marx. Just the same as anyone who is left leaning is not turn into an ultra-liberal just because they are exposed daily to late capitalism.

The game doesn't preach politics but I would say the creators of the game have a leftist liberal view of the world. Best seen in the attitude toward the other ideologies and their representatives. The union is generally a good power in the society and even if their leaders are corrupt, they are also seems to want the best for the people of the city.
The communards (communists) are more problematic. They killed people during the revolution and their living representative is a fanatic, but with some reconciling features. The right wing liberals (big corporations) are even more problematic. They crushed the revolution with enormous brutality and employes deranged racist murderers to do their bidding. Their local representative is however a reasonable woman.
Conservatives and fascists comes at the bottom of the in-game status ladder. The fascists are simply scum of the earth and the conservative is rather unplesant fella who worships a royal house that seems to have been entirely made up of drooling idiots.

As a game creator you have the problem formulation privilege, and in their world fascism is the biggest, followed by conservatism and big corporation capitalism.

I come from a country that was on the verge of being communist. Believe me when I tell you, nobody in my family would ever want to go back, not even my grandparents who actually experienced socialism. I get it, you are probably some western college student whose professor brainwashes students into thinking "capitalism=bad/communism=good" but believe me, it's far from the truth

There are far more examples in history of capitalism failling than communism, specially since only 3 countries have classified themselves as communist in human history. And the ones that were and did it well, like Spain, people always ignore. Even now, most socialist country in all of Europe... all of Europe losing money and Spain´s economy has gone up 3,0 points, not even Germany has manage to have that raise in the last 20 years.

But sure, you go around telling people about the horrors grandpa suphered under socialism HAHAHAHAHA
