Help but no real spoilers please

I was playing have a good time got to the point was talking to the kid by the body. It seemed to be going okay I made the rolls that came up but then when i clicked conversation over it said morale low and then just game over. I am not even sure what happened... i had an item i could have used to heal. Should I have clicked the screen fast or something?? I did a lot ... a lot of text before the last autosave. Didn't even realize i should save often (should i be) I really don't want to start over without understanding what went wrong.

Certain actions can cause you to use health or morale. Your total health and morale are decided by your Endurance and Volition skills. Each point in those skills increases health or morale. When you run out of health or morale points you have a reasonable amount of time to apply a healing item if you have one. If you do not apply a healing item in time you will receive a game over.

You can find healing items in various containers, etc. or buy them with money from the Frittte store. Your health / morale is listed above your portrait on the bottom left corner of screen. Your total health is listed in bars and the # of healing items you have the health or morale are listed above that. Simply the click the button listing the # of items once to restore health or morale (depending on which healing item you use).

As for saving, keep regular main saves and use quicksaves in between your main saves.

Thanks I think I only had 1 of the volition but i did have an item it just seemed to happen fast or maybe i was reading all the text at the time an should have just clicked. Thanks

yeah, the bar will slowly empty if it's your last hit point to give you time to click the healing item. I died like 4 times without any heals my first playthrough and ended up repeating a lot of dialogue. It was discouraging but luckily it goes really fast if you aren't actually reading everything, so you can pretty quickly click through your old choices if you remember what they were to get caught back up

You can buy medicine that restore health and moral in Fritte, the convenience store. Literally just beside Whirling in rags.
