Modus: Mullen not unlocking

Okay so I've:
1. Read the book
2. After it fell apart I asked the bookstore clerk and her daughter for the ending
3. When I left the store I had a thought about it. I conceptulized the culprit
4. Read the book again
Nothing happens, no achievent nor new filter option.
Is it a bug or is there a *specific* way of unlocking it?

Oh yeah also, I'm wearing the cap and the coat constantly since I got them.

Did you click both orbs, when you left the store?. There are two of them.
Otherwise it sounds like you did it right. It might have bugged. Reload and try the sequence again, if you can.

I only had one blue orb

I guess, it bugged out. There should be two orbs. Try a reload before the orbs.
You followed the steps, as far as i can see.

From Red's great guide...
Get Annette inside the bookstore so she gives you Mullen's hat. Get inside the secret passage in the whirling and get the pinball maker's coat. Wear them both at once. Then pass a reaction speed check to be able to buy "D1ck Mullen and the Mistaken Identity" from the bookstore. Read it and talk to both Annette and Plaisance about it. Go outside and two blue orbs will appear, click on them and then interact with the book again and click on the "Modus: Mullen" option.

See if you can walk around near the store as well, maybe? Sometimes the orbs are location-based as well as being event-based.

Maybe try throwing on a shirt and tie, slacks and loafers, see if that does anything, too. I don't know.

Okay so i loaded the save made after the first bubble and the second one was immediately there.
