Cloud saving, deck and video settings
Hi, every time when I come back to my pc from my steam deck saves, video settings are changed to the deck ones (lower resolution)

I think settings should not be included in cloud saving, or at least should be mantained separated for devices.

To be honest with you, since I don't own Deck, but I used to play on Linux (up to last week).

It's probably got something to do with Proton.

I've play this game on proton 7.0.3 but I haven't got this problem.

Other than that then perhaps it's the game itself. Disco Elysium is not a Linux native. Meaning, if you play on Deck/Proton, if it not function as it did on windows, there got to be something wrong with Deck or Proton.

I could be wrong tho.

It's not, the game's cloud saves are manually set to sync system settings as well - even though this is an *objectively* bad thing to do for *any* game. It defeats the purpose of having cloud saves if transferring those saves will result in f-cked up resolution and graphics configurations.

Refer to the game's Cloud category on steamdb; the cloud syncs all files in both AppData/LocalLow/ZAUM Studio/Disco Elysium/SaveGames (where save data is stored, and what should be the ONLY THING SYNCED), as well as Disco Elysium/Settings (which should not be synced under any circumstance). This was a manual decision.

Also check out this discussion, this was a known issue that they didn't even bother fixing lmfao

Of course all of this could be fixed if Valve let people manually configure cloud behaviors to fix developers' mistakes - something that they refuse to do for absolutely no reason.
