How many days long?

Hello, without any spoilers please, is this a set number of days long? I’m on the 5th day and looking like I’m nearing the end, just didn’t know if there is a set number of days or what because most my side quests are wrapped up, I’m just searching for a certain someone right now.

I died like 4 or 5 times on the first day of depression and I got shot at my second day

as far as i know you got 10 days max

Yes max 7 days. But can be shorter if you get to the end point before that.

Without spoiling anything, the game doesn't exactly end automatically after the 7th day, but certain options and various sidequests are cut off at that point. Certain things also only happen on certain days, though, like only being able to access the coast after Day 3.
