daily 800 mb Steam Deck patch
Anyone knows why theres an 800 mb patch every day on the steam deck?
I have bad third world internet and that takes an hour or two every day.
I really hope one day elon sends a starlink sat over my town so my suffering ends and I dont need to ask questions like these.

Just to check, your Steamdeck beta access is set to 'none'?

I'm seeing something similar as well, very often when I reboot the Steam deck Disco Elysium will download a 800 mb update for some reason. Beta access is set to none.

I think this is a Steam bug though, the same happens with a bunch of other games as well, for those these "ghost" updates only tend to be like 10-20 mb though.

Seems like a Steam issue, but we've flagged with the team to investigate.

Yes. It's the default install with Stable SteamOS branch. Thanks for looking into the issue!

I can't even launch the game on steam deck... It just crashes on launch every time.

Any results?
It is very annoying... and really bad when I'm on the go and can't play Disco Elysium =(
If I had to guess I'd say it's either:
* New versions for random libraries(VC++, DirectX and the like). I've seen even windows users complaining about those. I don't think there's anything that can be done about those.
* Your Vulkan shader cache got invalidated(eg. because you did a system update recently) and steam has to download a new one. I think this can be manually disabled either in the game properties or steam settings.
* I have this gut feeling that sometimes steam will update proton-related stuff via a certain game rather than the usual "Proton Runtimes" label. But it's just a hunch and I don't think there's anything that can be done about it.
