That whole conversation with him belies "weakness" that runs against his outward-facing persona: firstly, in the sense that he admits to being terrified of something; and secondly, in the sense that he implicitly admits to caring about something (if he really gives no ♥♥♥♥♥ about anything, why did he practically adopt her?).
