Does the time matter?
Does it matter how long i take for stuff? I know that certain things become available at certain times but does it matter what day it is?

That's what I'm curious about. The game looks fun, but some of the screenshots I've seen make it seem like there's time limits on things.

I'm curious about this as well. I know time passes when you're in conversation with people and as a super slow reader if I miss things because of this it'd really suck.

Time does not pass like that.

It only pass when you take actions - like selecting a dialogue option.

It's not a real time thing.

So the total number of action is limited?

I burned through a whole load of my first day by accident reading books. I hope it doesn't matter too much.

It doesn't seem to matter too much at all. Certain characters and events happen at certain times, but it's more like, the longer you wait the more options you have, rather than, if you wait too long you can't do stuff.
