Smallest Church in Saint-Saens Soft Lock?

While walking in the starting area of the beach (south side I believe), I was clicking the thought orbs from the north side of a fence. I didn't see this as a big deal at first, but I noticed I could click a near by box in my detective vision mode. The box contained a tape of Smallest Church in Saint-Seans. Thinking I could pick it up I clicked through Take All. Only after that though I noticed I had picked it up through the fence as it is intended to be picked up from the south side of the fence. The item displayed the UI element that the item was added to my inventory. Immediately after that my character proceeded to run around the fence to the east, without me adding extra inputs, with container's UI box still open and the inventory item still in it. During the movement I accidentally clicked on Kim which initiated dialogue. After I left the dialogue window, the box's UI was still up and I was soft locked in the dialogue stance without the dialogue window container or text options. I couldn't open the inventory or pause menu, but could still see things like my thoughts, skills, and the map. The container UI elemental was still up as well and couldn't be closed.

Has anyone else experience this kind of bug?

Early on, when the game first came out, yes, but not in that specific area. Reopening the game and loading a save fixed it. It didn't happen again in the same place, though.
