Or you can try some kind of mouse wheel emulation.
In any case, it would probably be good to report this as a bug, as it seems an oversight (and there are plenty of unused keys, like page-up/page-down): https://forms.gle/JgMUYmpfsdS6i33k6
it's not very expensive and pretty useful, even for common computer usage :)
but you can use AutoHotkey with a script to emulate the mouse wheel like Jonathan said, and as detailed there:

While it would be easier to just get a new mouse, I'm restricting to my house due to being sick. <_<
First thing I tried.
Either way, it worked even on qwerty afterwards.
