However, I'm looking forward to more Cuno.
I think if I were hearing every line, I'd feel compelled to click through to the next line to keep the rhythm of the conversation going, instead of going at my own pace. It's going to be a very different experience.
Cuno gives me headache. I hope there's an option to mute Cuno.
It's amazing that they provide an upgrade this big for free, and I might end up liking it even more than the old version. But it would be a shame to have the classic version that so many people love essentially get patched out of existence, so I really hope the devs will think about the historical value of having both versions playable.
j/k :D I hated him too at start, then he kind of grew on me and despite how annoying he was, he made an impression (also was recruited)
Plus, much of the voice acting in the game just isn't that good as it stands. For example, René and Gaston sound like (and probably are) 30-year-old English speakers trying to sound like two Frenchmen in their eighties. Joyce's VA is competent, but also makes her character sound much colder and unfriendlier than the writing suggests. Kim, Klaasje, Cuno and your nervous system are the only ones that nailed their roles, I think.
Also, I sometimes like doing the voices myself while playing text-driven games like this one, just for fun.
