Does anyone know whether it is possible to install native m1 Mac Disco Elysium from Steam?

I don't know if there's a "native" version, but it runs just fine for me.

Frankly,

There is no point in having Linux or M1 native versions for a dozen of players.
On top of this, it runs great on a 2012 MacBook Pro, so no performance enhancement is to be expected by a native version.

And yet they did make an M1 version which has been available on Mac AppStore for a long time. The problem is that Steam so far hasn't supported the M1 architecture (this changed recently) hence it's not been possible for developers to distribute the M1-native games in Steam.

On the latest patch they added the native M1 version. But I had to delete the game and intall it again for it to work, otherwise it was still an Intel/Rosetta app. Now the activity monitor says "Apple" instead of "Intel", meaning it's native.

As of now (2021.10.15), there's no need to delete the game and install it again. The update automatically converts to the native M1 app. ie: Activity Monitor show 'Apple' instead and 'intel' by just updating it.
