Still need help with something

I still can't get into the fridge.

The pain threshold check is locked and Plaisance refuses to give me the key or even talk about the door.

What do I do?

I honestly think I did things out of order, causing them to break slightly.

Plaisance gives me her normal dialogue while she should be giving me warded door dialogue.

The curse of being a QA Tester lol. Great at breaking things but can't fix them.

I think after you open the curtains in spite of her warning she just gives up. I don't she'll give you the key at that point-- I believe you would have to break it down yourself. The way you convince her to give you the key is by backing off and not opening the curtain when she freaks out at you, talking to her then and succeeding on a Drama check to convince her you're a paranormal investigator.

There might still be a way of unlocking the PT check with a bonus, not actually sure. There's at least one thought that would definitely do it. What've you done out on the coast at this point?

Just had a little browse. Met Egg Head. Not much. I feel like I've had awful luck with these checks, always passing the unimportant ones and failing the crucial ones repeatedly.

That's kind of normal, really. The more important checks, the ones that wall off areas or progress the game, those are a lot higher. You're supposed to occasionally hit a wall, go off and do something else, and then come back later, after you've gained some more XP and put another point or two in that stat. You're meant to do a lot wandering back and forth by design. You're rewarded for it, in a way, because as your passives go up, you end up uncovering orbs on the return trip that you didn't spot on the way there.

Do you have to use the fridge to progress, though? Cuz I just had Kim haul the body back to the morgue and that's it.

You don't have to, it's just for if there's a piece of evidence you feel like you're missing the bullet and you need some more time before you send it away. I'm not sure what happens to the body if you just leave. Kind of curious, actually.

Well fortunately it's winter so the body will decompose slower. I need to be quick though as when he thaws, it's going to be awful.

It seems the only way I can progress is by levelling up my perception (which is actually become my highest skill) or level up my pain threshold (which I want to increase but haven't found the right time to increase it.)
