Does Jamrock Shuffle thought actually do anything?

So it description says you find better loot in locked containers, but so far all of locked containers that give you clothing still give you only clothing? Its kinda hard to tell if thought is a joke on purpose or if its bugged or if its just bad luck with few locked containers that do have random amount of cash

Edit: I did find +5 real in one locked container, so maybe it does increase range of items you can find in ones with random amount?

It makes difference in the long run, I think, I remember I could afford most of the FALN drips.

I don't think it counts equipment as "loot," only money and healing items. You will find more of those though.
