This is just like any game, in that if you play poorly, you will die. The mechanical demands are a little different from more combat-focused games but the danger of death is the same if you fail to overcome obstacles.
Dude, one could literally sleep anywhere. It makes no sense that you have to sleep at a certain place. Poor game mechanics.
Bottles give you 10 cents, for a night you will need 20 bucks so... it's 200 bottles.
It's a roleplay game - what if I don't want to beg?
The first night you'll almost certainly need to sell Kim's spinners or take the money Joyce offers. But seriously. The pawn shop. The apartments. The backroom of the bookshop. I don't keep saying these things for no reason. Press Tab to highlight containers or change on the ground, pick up everything you can, sell your postcards at the pawn shop, supplement it with the 3-4 real you get for picking up bottles if you have to, and you'll hit 20 real easily. There's 5-10 real each in both the apartments and the abandoned commercial area, depending on your skills.
also you can get it on first day with some planning.
Learn to play the game and this wouldn't be an issue.
