Cafeteria Window early unlock

Is it possible? I have a 3% chance, have tried it maybe 50 times now and have gotten many dice rolls like 4+ times double 1s and several times 6+5 or 5+5 to name a few examples. Did anyone manage? Maybe there's hidden dice roll modifiers that outright block double 6s in this case.

TLDR: Trying to roll double 6s on this check but so far rolled every combination ~10 times except double 6s. That result seems to be disabled for this particular Check.

I failed so many rolls and I just move on.

You can spend a point in skills or find clothes for a bonus or replay it lateron with different set of skills.

Sadly this is not relevant to this particular Check. Even putting +5 points into Perception(what this Check requires) doesn't change the %. I've already finished the entire game in a 45+ hour playthrough. Am just doing a case speedrun. The problem is that I can't seem to roll the win-every-time double 6s.

No, the Cafeteria Window in the union booth downstairs. Rolling double 6s on it early on is literally impossible, it seems. Might've tried 200 times now already, still no dice(excuse the pun).

The roll has like -12 if you try it early, it's clear the game doesn't want you to do it. But I don't think it is scripted.

I'm just saying that it's literally impossible to roll two 6s. I've tried it around 300 times before giving up(reloading saved game every time).

At 3% you will probably succeed after 60-100 tries. You have to remember that it's 3% every time, not 3% stacking. Assuming you would definitely get it after 33-34 tries would be what is known as gambler's fallacy such named as some gambler's think that if they have odds on something ever changing. For example a slot machine pays out 15x the monetary input 10% of the time assuming you are guaranteed to get your payout in 10 pulls would be gambler's fallacy, as the slot machine resets after every pull.

Yeah except I tried it ~300 times(thankfully have a fast SSD for the reloads) and I had gotten many times every other combination of rolls except double 6s. Something seems very off.

You're right, something does seem very off.... Like saving and loading your game three hundred times! There's save scumming and then there's save SCUMMING.

I guess I'm stubborn. Also, you've gotta be able to handle it. I can handle tedious things, but literally impossible things is another matter. I guess I've busted this myth. There are secret modifiers.
