how cpu demanding is this game?
I still sit on my old

win10
i5 7500
8 ram
1060 gpu

I was gonna get a new pc when ps5 is out so I can play the "multiplatform games" but since my cpu is "min" and min usually is really "unplayable" it makes me wonder if I should wait until next year when I get a new pc.
so yeah, any benchmark on how cpu demanding this game?

My pc is utterly pathetic compared to yours, yet I have no issues at all. My specs i5 3400, GT 1030, 8GB ram. I also underclocked my GPU because it overheats and switches off otherwise, and still no problems. (typically 1600 something mhz, underclocked to 1028mhz)
so you think they just took an old cpu and called it min to not beta test multiple cpus?

I don't know. I didn't even check the minimum requirements before buying. I just google searched the minimum requirements and am shocked as to how high they are. With your specs, you should be able to run at max settings. I'm running max wtih res set to 1280x720 at about 60fps. Their minimum requirements seem like minimum needed to run max at 4k or something. You will definitely not have an issue with a i5 7500.

k how far have you got in the game? might be some scene or ending that is very cpu demanding...

I'm below min specs and I've finished the game multiple times. The toughest thing was the couple of minutes between opening the game and turning down texture res in settings.

I imagine you'll be fine. If for some reason you're not, you've still got Steam's two-hour return window.

Although the game is isometric, everything is rendered in 3D with tons of shaders. Dialling down all of that should help. You don't need a high framerate, you just need to avoid crashes. Probably, the crime scene just outside the Whirling-In-Rags is the most demanding thing to render.
