So I kinda got Disco Elysium to work in 32:9 through Cheat Engine.

Not a big fan of CE. Don't know why you'd wanna use it on a solo game like DE ~ my native resolution suits the game just fine and haven't heard about any other players with res problems. In fact, tech problems with DE seem to be pretty rare. Don't get me wrong ~ I have nothing against players using whatever programs they want on their games ~ it''s 100% your choice ~ I just don't understand why but that's just me.

Not a big fan either, I don't really use it, all I want to do with it is to figure out a way to get ultrawide aspect ratios to work when a game doesn't support it.

I just prefer filling my entire screen with the game I'm playing for maximum immersion. That's all. :)

It's like if you go to the cinema and you have this massive screen and the movie playing has black bars on the top, bottom and the sides -- it'd be a bit of an underwhelming experience, wouldn't it?

Might be a terrible analogy, but I hope you get what I'm trying to say.

Thanks for explaining. Honestly I was really thinking about getting an ultrawide monitor myself cos I'd seen some great films on them but decided in the end to stick with 21:9 mainly cos it's perfect for most all games.

I do recommend 32:9 monitors, but I'm biased. I can tell you that *most* games do support 32:9 from the getgo, I run a channel and upload content that showcases games in 32:9, and how to apply fixes to games that don't support it. If you're curious to see what 32:9 looks like, a link is on my profile. No worries if you don't feel the need though!

Hey! I didn't get much further unfortunately. it was a hassle trying to get this to work every time I booted the game up. :/ Don't have enough experience to make a trainer or find dynamic addresses in Cheat Engine :/

You may wanna ask him about that planned update he mentions ~ couldn't hurt. There's another convo with a guy who claims he went into the game files to edit the registry entry for game resolutions successfully & if you're comfortable doing that, I thought to mention it. Have fun

It's been a while but I had to use Cheat Engine and search for 1.777777 and change it to 3.555555 for it to change the aspect ratio and stuff. It's edited through memory so it won't save and I'm not smart enough to create a trainer out of it, heh.

Just to follow up on this, I tried searching the floating point value 1.77 as well as the hex but found no pointers on the exe, can you let us know if there is a hex value that I can look at or if you found a solution to this issue?
