Why is "Half Light" called "Half Light"

The skill "Half Light" which dictates how much you fear of / aggressive to - the world, compared to all other skills, has the most vague name. I couldnt find why it was called "Half Light" anywhere. My best assumption is that maybe things look more different in the dimmed light? Maybe scary yet normal?

In short, why "Half Light"?

Literally, half-light is a state of low light leading to low visibility, which could be compared to fear and suspicion leading someone not to be able to see clearly.

I think the part of the Estonian proverb explains it in the most fitting way.

Basically, this skill let's you see better the perils that hide in the dim light, real or not.
