[SPOILERS] Phasmid cutoff point?

No spoilers past this please, but did I screw up the Phasmid quest? I'm at the point where my only main quest is to find Ruby and it tells me if I continue I'll miss out on the Crypto and Evertte quests.

I got my gun back, so I'm pretty sure I finished his stuff..but I'm unsure about the Phasmid. I went and restocked the trap again and went back to Lena. She told me it probably isn't real, but I said I'd check the trap one last time and got her address to send the info if I find it. I checked all 4, but there was nothing there. So..is the quest over? I have nothing else in my log about it. It just feels very unrewarding..

I want to be sure I'm not missing out on some special ending if I continue my Ruby quest.

Without spoiling anything, it sounds like you've done all you can on the mainland (did you deal with the kids outside the church?). But the game's not over yet.

Yes, I did everything with the kids and church. Good to know I finished the quest up till this point, thanks!

You can actually complete the Plasmid quest chain mostly even if you don't do most of the tasks before the cutoff point. It's just harder. I didn't even finish checking the traps the first time, personally, but I did get sprayed twice by Lena's husband with the pheromones.

I also didn't do the quests with the kids and the church, for what it is worth.
