Who else avoided purchase after copyright claims

Was interested in the game but now all the youtubers who were going to do playthroughs have been hit with copyright so i really couldnt give a cent to this company of idiots who else feels the same

It's YouTube matching the music and auto-filing claims for the record company for the band who did the soundtrack, which is why there's no official soundtrack yet and why the devs told YouTube people to turn off the music before recording when the game came out. There's no point boycotting the devs for that, they want it resolved as much as you do.

Couldn't give a toss about YouTubers - I play the game rather than watch someone playing it anyway. If they are getting copyright claimed then that's a problem YouTube and the music producers to sort out. Game is magnificent

Youtube copyright bot is crazy. It banned a bunch of fan-translated streams of EA conference at E3, because EA was demoing new NFS there, and it had some licensed music.
And god forbid if you try to stream with your windows open, because you might get strike just because someone was driving down the street with windows down and stereo running on full blast.

I think at least one song of the game, "Red Rock Riviera" by British Sea Power, is on an earlier album by this band and was not originally written for the game. It's the song that plays in central Martinaise. Ironically, that song has been available on Youtube for years. But it explains the content matching / automated copyright claim on Youtube.
