Phasmid encounter [Spoilers]
Did anyone beat that electrochem check? Or is it impossible like the bunker door?

I loved the whole thing so much. Thought the quest had just fizzled out, and then...

I gave up on it. I ended up refusing the pheromones because I thought the smell would negatively affect interactions with people. RIP

Searched for this and found this old thread... yeah it seems impossible if you don't have the pheromones. Even if you get more than the required 20 roll, it just fails.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure you need the pheromones to complete that story. I liked the phasmid encounter but it felt very shoehorned in at the end.

If you invest in Inland Empire, it will feel less shoehorned in. You will be able to connect the phasmid to the story more cohesively. The writing for that particular thread that binds the two endgame encounters inextricably to one another is absolutely phenomenal.

Without inland empire, you get both experiences, but are unable to draw any connections between them. With the extra intuition, you'll be able to understand what the phasmid was *doing.* Do an IE/shivers/empathy playthrough. it's amazing.

Holy necro. People following a trolling questline to finally find a bug. A postmodern take on replayability.
