cant get past first room

there is sadly no jingle and no key in a pocket appears

started over 3 times now and still the same, this f*** key just dont appear in my pocket

hold tab, maybe you find something. the key may even be in your trousers already, look at your inventory. I can't remember all that well.

To be clear, this is after picking up your pants and clicking the orb that appears around your head? Keys don't appear in your normal inventory slots, but there's a key icon to the bottom left of your character's paper doll that lists all the keys you've picked up.

holding tab I know and no there is nothin left to do, I started over 3 times now.
