The Phasmid (Warning Spoilers)

I'm at the turning point int the story when its clearly stated that certain leads will expire. I can't seem to find the kids who messed with the trap. I also can't find anything about the phasmid quest apart from the ending which i understand is one of the most interesting encounters in the game so id like to see it. I'd appriciate any other details about this with as few spoilers as possible thanks.
I've spoken to Little Lily, the twins outside, Cuno, Cunoesse, and Annette. I can't find anyone else and ive exhausted all dialogue options for them all. Maybe im failing a stat check?

Have you checked Cuno's shack?

Try smoking a cigarette and putting on some clothes that increase Logic? It worked for me.

Yeah i looked through his shack. I'll check again though maybe i need to smoke a cigarette before i inspect it???

Yup it worked. I smoked a cig and checked cuno's shack again. the little creep really didn't seem to know anything about it. "The **** does cuno care?" i totally bought it XD

What logic check are you talking about? is there one with cuno? i have 4 base logic

I don't know if Logic had anything to do with it, but I had -2 when I went in Cuno's shack on my second playthrough and couldn't get him to talk, went back into the shack with 4 or 5 Logic and got an orb that wasn't there before.

yeah i think the same happened to me
