I have yet to fully try out Half-Light (or Physique build in general), but I did see an interaction for Half-Light when combined with Authority when you talk to Garte Day 1.
Given the above, I am guessing that for the best effect you should take a combination of skills, rather than focusing on a single skill, because if you don't then you won't - as a character - even "register" something that can allow you activate your other skill.
Yeah, I get use from Shivers and Reaction Speed all the time, with Hand/Eye occasionally coming up and certainly useful during the story climax. Visual Calculus is a solid skill to have, as it makes you a better detective. Shivers is particularly important, since you can't complete the game without making a good Shivers roll.
Are there any more skills that don't do anything?
