skill system?
i've got 5 points in physique and picked halflight, where i have currently 2 points in.

it says, let the body take control, threaten people.

I've now been 8 hours in , I haven't been able to threaten a single soul, I've talked to mostly everone on day one and am about to start day two.

At this point the skillsystem seems like filler to me, because it feels like i totally wasted my points so far.. You say you're going to let me threaten people yet you don't.

You know when u put points into dodge and you dodge right...

Unfortunately, half-light is garbage. Of the physique skills, shivers is probably the best, reaction speed and hand/eye or physical instrument get their chance to shine. Half-light is just a psychopathic dialogue machine that crops up occasionally.

What are your other skills?

I have yet to fully try out Half-Light (or Physique build in general), but I did see an interaction for Half-Light when combined with Authority when you talk to Garte Day 1.

Given the above, I am guessing that for the best effect you should take a combination of skills, rather than focusing on a single skill, because if you don't then you won't - as a character - even "register" something that can allow you activate your other skill.

Yeah, I get use from Shivers and Reaction Speed all the time, with Hand/Eye occasionally coming up and certainly useful during the story climax. Visual Calculus is a solid skill to have, as it makes you a better detective. Shivers is particularly important, since you can't complete the game without making a good Shivers roll.

man, I'm so dissapointed. thanks everyone for the valuable insight.

Are there any more skills that don't do anything?

@Holy didn't have any authority, I think 1 point.

Imho the skills get interesting/meaningful at lvl 4 or above. Skills below 4 were not really noticeable.

My stats are 6-7 , still no threatening whatsoever.

Half-light is the most notably useless. Most of the int and psych skills are good. Suggestion and rhetoric seem possibly the most limited of those.

A friend borrow my his account and I played the game, I was 5 INT and 4 in PSY. I have some points in Half-light (4 or 5 I don't remember) and is useful during interrogation (in combination with rethoric, drama, autorithy), you can catch someone lying and if you have enough Half-light you can push them to get the truth. Also is useful to know when a person is about to hit you or is about to bad react if you keep pushing. Also most of the skill works with synergy with others aspect skils. For example at the beginning I had just 1 point in my Motor's skills (1 in perception) and I can't see, feel or hearing anything to get some clues, but when I internalize a though that increase the cap from perception and I put some point on it, and got more point from some thought I went to 9 of perception and then with Visual Calculus I could find a lot of clues on the enviroment and recreate a lot of scene, that helped a lot with the case. And help me a lot with interaction of people like hearing their breath, hearing his hand movement, etc.

I think there is a physique-half light check for talking to Titus, other than that it seems to just randomly instruct you to kill people.
