Good/Bad Cop?

There's a stat called "good cop/bad cop" in the journal, but it's only a single number? What does that mean?
Can it go into negatives?

Sorry if this has been asked or explained before, but I don't want to trawl the internet for answers and risk stumbling across spoilers or something.
Heck, it already happened once, fortunately with only a very mild spoiler.

Getting to -5 is necessary to satisfy the Baddest of the Bad Cop achievement. Take dialogue options that make you out to be a racist, fascist, and misogynist and you'll get there pretty fast. Avoid doing things that Kim would like (examples include being an ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ to the general public, agreeing with racists and fascists, or something gamebreaking like not wanting to get your gun back from Evrart).
