How do I sneak up past Measurehead?

I read somewhere that there is a third option (besides fighting him or internalizing his race theory) - you can sneak up on Measurehead with enough Savoire Faire. How do I do that? From what I gather, you do it from Cuno's shack, but I already got there and collected the raincoat.

If you've got the coat, you've already snuck past him.

Maybe there is some confusion regarding getting "past Measurehead". You don't actually want to get to a location physically past him, but to the area to the left where the door is that Measurehead can open remotely. The way through Cuno's shack leads to the same area.

Oh. I meant get past him to press to button. But from what I understand the button actually open the door to the docks, not the gate below.

Actually, I think I may have been wrong about this. You see, I adopted Measurehead's race theory and let him open the door (press the button) for me; so, when I later went to the roof via Cuno's shack and it seemed to lead to the same area, I didn't explore further there. But now, when revisiting that shack/roof area, it seems I can't get up to the way that leads to Evrart from there - unless I missed something...

Oh, I was planning to punch Measurehead later on, but if that is all that this brings me in the end, I already talked to Evrart and explored all of that area a while ago... I thought the button would upon the gates and create a difference in the situation with the scabs and truck drivers.
