Some of my best gaming experiances were playing a dumb evil half orc in arcanum who drives other chars insane with his dumbness and beiing a malkavian in Bloodlines.
After I got done laughing, I tried again, set Physique and Motorics to a more reasonable 2 and then spread the remainder of points to Intellect -5 and Psyche -3. This was a more reasonable build as I was still playing a reasonably Intelligent Cop build, but I wasn't a complete physical trainwreck that was going to drop dead any second. I played through as if I had reached rock bottom, had an epiphany and was trying to clean up my act and get my life together. I refused to touch alcohol or drugs, I tried to be as nice as I could. I played a "just the facts, mam" straight laced cop. I avoided political answers or taking sides. I never took bribes or did anything unethical. I put most of my points in things I would consider a dedicated cop would emphasize, logic, visual calculus, authority, volition, Esprit de Corp.
All in all it was a pretty fun playthrough, seeing this cop who was at rock bottom turn into a straight laced ace detective. I think on my next play through I'm going in the opposite direction and play it like he's decending into madness, put points in the weird things like Inland Empire, Drama, Shivers, Half Light.
Was 5/4/2/1, with a spec in Encyclopedia. Didn't wind up putting all that many points in it (early game 6 was enough to drown me in data, lategame it didn't seem to have too much more to say and other voices were more fun), in fact besides Shivers and some of the Motorics I didn't spend more than 1 point in any skill and even then it was usually to be able to reroll checks. I spent a *lot* of points internalizing and discarding thoughts over the cours of the game however, and I juggled clothes a lot too.
Fixed.
I think next playthrough I'll go drunken fascist and see what happens, I have no real clue of what to expect so it will be interesting to see how the game adapts.
