I equipped advanced race theory but never responded anything racist and always supported kim against the 3 magical racist npcs. By the ending, he summarized me as a racist but defended me against my current precinct, called me one of the best cop he worked with and in multiple checks the modifiers suggest he trusts me completely, so.
Nah we're just a bunch of Evangelion fans :P
Does Kim still make his joke about "the third racist will be the lucky one" if you're racist yourself? there was something about getting Gary to squirm as we asked "you gonna grant us three wishes, Gary?" that made it one of my favorite moments in the game.
Overall, I really like the moments where Kim's dry sense of humor showed through his stiff facade, like how he could barely hold his laughter as you wondered what was so *special* about the balcony smoker.
All in all, I'd say Kim is a killjoy, but he's MY killjoy and I love him and I wish I could have kissed him straight on the mouth as he defended my karaoke performance at the end of the game.
by the way, endgame question - does his response to you offering he transfers to 41st after the chat with your colleagues depend on his opinion of you?
Kim does not make his joke about the third racist if you are the third racist, from what I can tell. I haven't seen it happen yet, but given I almost got kicked out of the unit altogether, I'd be surprised if Kim couldn't at least tell you his real opinion of you once the case was over.
I guess your game played out completely differently then mine. Id say it felt more like a prologue story which was disappointing note to end on, as the story just kicked in to high gear with Kim being part of it.
At the very least i have fond memories of my journey with Kim. Hustling people for money and inserting dominance "I am the law". "Yes, they know you are *the* law" - Kim
Well, I internalized the racist thought in order to get past Whatishead but I never engaged in racist dialogue after that, and I got the line later, so it probably has to do with your dialogue choices as well, not just having the thought active in your cabinet.
In continuation to him defending me, he was p much on board despite me being racist. Come to think of it, I had politically clashing thoughts equipped, Kim is confused by it, but I don't think it affected his decision?
