About tools

Since you have only 2 slots for tools and more than 2 tools, does the game hints at what tools you should have in hands, or do you have to guess?

Alo, does the game (or NPCs) care (react differently) if I, let's say, walk around with flashlight during the day, and such?

It will tell you when you need it for a check. However, some items will appear on the map once a certain tool is equipped, namely the plastic bag for bottles, and the crowbar allows you to open more containers (which dont show up otherwise).

I recommend carrying the crowbar most of the time, as it allows you to open many locked containers, which usually contain health items, money, and/or clothing. These items aren't always apparent if you don't have it in hand.

Early in the game, the plastic bag is useful for finding cans you can turn in for decent money but about day 3 you should have all the money you need, depending upon your decisions.

How and exactly when does the flashlight works? I only spot one extra hidden passage and didn't notice anyone mentioning the flashlight so far in 20h. But I like going with it and crowbar all the time =) There's also one thought which can give +attribute if you have empty hands.

Flashlight is only needed in doomed commercial area and one other place. Otherwise, you don't need it out.
