how long it takes before the ice melts? my character isn't particularly strong, so there's no way I can open it even with the tool.

How do i trigger dialogue for that? Because i used all options. Still no luck with you know what NPC.

yeah I did that, but a +2 to the check doesn't help me that much

You can drink booze to boost your physique temporarily by +1, which will also let you invest another skill point in Physical Instrument for a total of +2.

There's a couple of shirt-type items which give you +1 Physical Instrument as well.

It's still a bit of an obnoxious check considering that it basically gates resolving a whole side-quest tree that in turn is pretty important for making a certain mandatory Shivers check, it's not a terribly easy check, and I haven't heard of any approaches that allow you to solve it or work around it with any of the other 23 skills.
