Read the watermarks task

So i've found my ledger with all the case files. Theres a sticker in there that you need to read in front of the kineema's headlights.
I've turned the headlights on and the task says "now go stand in front of the kineema, in the lights" but nothing is happening. Nothing happens when i read the ledger. I'm so confused :( has anyone been able to finish this task?

Use the thought bubble that pops up.

Walk a few meter's in front of the lights when they're on and a thought bubble will pop up click it.

Have you tried putting the ledger in one of your hands before you step into the lights?

I've stood infront of it with it in my hands and not, and then tried to interact with it. I didn't notice a thought bubble pop up but I'll give it another go see if it pops up. I had to make a save before as i noticed the lights turned off if i slept or moved on and then i couldn't turn them back on.

So I did the thought bubble, and I got a dialog, it showed me an interfacing check, and that was it. No options for me. No way to exit dialog, or save. I could check the skills and thoughts menus. Anyone else seen that?

I encountered the same issue as sketchyd, and haven't found a solution.

I had the problem that It wouldn't appear at all. I've managed to fix this by editing the savegame to let the orb appear again.

1. Extract your savegame *.Zip from \AppData\LocalLow\ZAUM Studio\Disco Elysium\SaveGames
2. Open the *.states.lua file with any text editor and delete the line:

ShownOrbs["KINEEMA ORB / halogen watermarks"]={OrbSeen=1};

3. Put the edited file back into the zip.
