You can't get in. Even if you succeed, you fail with identical thoughts as if you had failed the roll.

This is lame.

You auto-lose second evade action in "spoiler" fight, too?

I believe you can get a thought from that door.
Nanako Oct 19, 2019 @ 11:22pm
how do you get a thought from it
ironyuri Oct 19, 2019 @ 11:27pm
If you fail the impossible check, (depending on your build possibly?) you will initiate a dialogue with Kim. If you say that you're determined to get through the door, you will open a THC thought:

The Last Door or One Last Door

If you internalize the thought, you should be able to open that door. It's a bit like the locked container at the docks.

I got the container on the dock opened by rolling two 6's. People are saying you can't do that with the bunker, though.

"One More Door" explicitly tells you

There is no way to open the supply depot door. Accept it. You cannot open *all the doors*...

I spent a skill point to forget this monstrous heresy.

Thanks for clarifying, I was going to go back and double check today on my late game save.

So you are railroaded by game. You cant avoid Mercenary confrontation.

You cant end it peacefully also.

You cant end it with less than 6 people dead too.

This is..

It's probably going to be added in the DLC, like the Cocaine Skull

It's basically the game's final boss fight. So no, you can't avoid it. There are some games that allow you to avoid the final boss (Pillars 2 being a recent example), but DE is clearly not one of them

Internalizing the thought results in: -1 Half Light, and all PSY white checks unlocked.

That's life. You can't control everything and you certainly can't resolve complex socio-political issues that began long before you ever show up with a few good one liners. None of the events are about you. It's a historical process in motion that you happen to see one small part of.

Its funny when people miss this idea when its implicitly told to you through the world and dialogue.
