Stuck after getting coat

I made the check to jump over the railing to get my coat but I can't find any route back to the main area. I tried lowering the crane, and talking to the Union guy, but the crate doesn't do anything I get an instant game over if I talk to the union guy with like an 8% chance to succeed the check. What am I supposed to do and how do I leave?

I am stuck too. I skipped going past the dead guy in the tree because I wanted to see what was up here first but now I cant get back. I was able to get a key from the union guy and leave out the front door but theres a muscle guy blocking my way and it doesnt look like it goes back where I came from.

Never mind there is a way back down by the guy sitting next to the path.

Yeah I figured out eventually that you can heal mid dialogue by pressing the little button above your moral and health bars. Glad you got it figured out!
