Stuck in fridge basement

I can't seem to go anywhere in the fridge basement. The flashlight barely works, it only lights up a few areas. I saw the mannequin, the RPG board, the chimney, I can't seem to go anywhere else. And I can't go back out cause it's past 9 pm and the bookstore is closed. This is extremely frustrating. Shouldn't the flashlight light up a bigger area? It's completely dark outside of the few areas that it can light up. I am just trying to click on random parts of the screen hoping that the chracter can pathfind his way to somewhere else. Fridge is nowhere to be found. Can anyone give a hint as to where the fridge is, assuming that I can't see anything? Tried unequipping and equipping the flashlight multiple times, switching hands, etc.

You might want to adjust your gamma/brightness, I had no trouble seeing fine without the flashlight even on. There's a 2nd exit to the front of the apartment building to the right of the Icecream maker (not the polar bear, the basic fridge with the valve), you don't need to exit through the bookstore.

it's towards the south east end of the "basement" zone of the apartment building. (Where the furnance and fridges are)

If you're where I'm thinking you are, the fridge is the bear, and there's a staircase on the right side that leads to the previously-locked street-level door with the list of businesses and a buzzer next to it.

Really weird bug. I quit and reloaded the game, and now the basement is much brighter and I can see items and interact with them. I was clicking around in the dark for 30 minutes, thinking I was missing something. Maybe the devs can take a look into this if they see this post.

I had the problem, the flashlight did not work the first time I entered the area. Reloading the game solved the problem here too
