Greenhouse door

i have a quest telling me to find intimidate some people in a house in the backyard near the greenhouse. but when i go there there is no door or interact with. how do i get behind the greenhouse

You can not. You can interact with the eternium pallets against the wall right of the green house. though. You need perception for that i think. You can make the check easier by talking and befriending Cuno

Not going to spoiler tag this as it's incredibly minor, I think you're just in the wrong location and Brother Pacfist is talking about Cuno's Shack. Which isn't what you're looking for.

Circle all the way around the bookstore (screen left of the Hostel), go north and there will eventually be an alley on your right that leads to an area behind the greenhouse. There should be a blue door you can't interact with (yet), a balcony, the greenhouse in the foreground and on the far right is the door you're looking for, some money lying about as well. There should be some bricks by the opening, indicating a staircase going downward by the door.

Yeah, what Nokturnal said. Head to where the Pine boat lady is but stop at the big wall which should have an orb prompt - to the right of it is the path to Cunoesse and the back garden. The door you're looking for is a basement door type deal

I am at this part in the story and I have the key but the door/entrance is still greyed out for me. Any ideas?

^ Have you checked your inventory and made sure you actually have the key? There seems to be a bug where it's possible that Manana and your inventory will *say* he gave you the key, but it doesn't actually happen. Not sure why or how to work around it.

i ihave it in my inventory and the entry is still greyed out

Me too, I have the key in the inventory key list, and when I click on the door it only plays the same sound, and nothing happens.

If you leave this until after you bring the cryptozoologists home, the one whose house it is comes home and you can't do it. Not quite sure why and that's not really being communicated in-game at the moment, but yeah.

Wow, do you know if it's required for the story to continue or can I ignore it?

It's only required to get your gun back and if you want to talk to Evrart more. You probably don't, but there is information he'll only give you if he trusts you, and you might want your gun.

You don't need it, though. Didn't do it on my first run.

Alright, sucks about the gun but certainly not worth throwing away a 20 hour playthrough, thanks.
