I had a problem that quest as well, but it wasn't with getting the key, it was figuring out one of the people I hadn't talked to in the area was also a lorrey driver. Also one driver has nothing to do with this quest. I'll give you that hint.
I'm not even sure other than being mean to get the key, there's even another way to open the lorrey. (No option to physically force it open and no other dialogue with NPCs in the starting area)
If you're still having problems I can just spoil it for you. Below is the walkthrough.
The racist Lorry driver outside Frittters next to the newspaper stand will accuse the Lorry driver whose selling random clothes near the bridge to the south, accuse him and he'll say it was a female, but it's not the only female driver in the area. Talk to the "hip" lorry driver closest to the entrance to the Hostel and press him for information, he'll admit he knows her but doesn't want you to press him for info. Force him to tell you and he'll give you the key. I definitely suggest investigating everything inside the lorry btw no matter how mundane.
Unfortunately I've sunk way more hours into the game since I got to that point, so no going back to an earlier save, I was hoping something would happen that would change what I could do there but no. The jam mystery felt like an important side thing tied into the main thing, kind of kills my enthusiasm that I can't do it.
Have you talked to the old woman to the right of the statue?
Its likely you completed the part of the quest that required you to investigate the drugs. This means you already have access to the conversation options that the investigation rewards you with her. The dialogue trees may be grayed out but go through all of them (I don't recall specifics) and see if you can get the information which was the whole point. This happened to me and I felt super dumb. (It is still a bit of a bug but not really considering the reason for quest)
Oh my god, I think this is my issue... I too feel dumb.
Will try again tonight, thanks.
I was with the same problem, stucked as you all. But I've come to end this quest with success!
After exhausting all my dialogues with the three drivers without success, not being able to obtain the key, not being able to confirm that Sillleng was a woman and I was not able to access the abandoned lorry, I was stuck.
The solution was to present Joyce with her badge! Talking to her after the badge demonstration, she will explain the whole situation to you in detail, and the mission will be completed successfully.
Smart to have helped.
Greetings from Brazil!
