There is food for sale at the store to heal you, and drugs to give you more morale (hitting 0 Morale will also kill you).
Also, the little numbers above your hit points are the number of times per day that you can heal that stat one block. If your stats are full, healing items you pick up will go into those numbers - just click on it to heal you a point.
Thanks for the reply! I guess I´m screwed because I can´t get out of the docks since I can only get out by talking to him and I have no healing items or means to increase my composure. So I just lost about an hours worth of progress because I did not save before entering the docks. The game should be a little more clear about these things In my opinion.
How did you get into the docks? You should be able to get out the same way. Otherwise, follow the tops of the containers and such around until you get to the office and leave by the door. Unless the door is locked because you jumped in, in which case you might be screwed.
Also, the game is kinda designed with the idea that you'll fail as part of the overall experience, which is cool when it doesn't kill you or your last save wasn't an hour ago.
Yes, that's the little button I was referring to, each time you click on it, the number inside lowers but it heals 1 bar of damage - there is one over Health and another over Morale. The game does reference the button early in play but it's not made very clear what they are talking about - they need to add an arrow or something to draw your attention to it, so you understand what it means.
Those little buttons refill after you rest and when you pick up healing items while your health is already full the item raises that number, instead. I think my default for health is 2 or 3 uses per day, but I've collected so many Morale healers that I have over 9 of them on call if I need them. I find that I go through a lot more health than morale, but that's probably because of the skills I've chosen - as I put very little into my physique.
