I can´t load my game after restart!
First off: LOVE this game. I spent five hours playing it today before I had to actually do stuff - so I saved, quit and came back a couple hours later...

... and when I start it up again, "Load Game" is grayed out. There seems to be no way at all to restore my progress. This, my droogies, is where I start to panic. What gives?

I can't load any of my saves either. I can see them, they just won't load from the main screen.
Help?!

I had to manually add a savegame folder at /Appdata/LocalLow/Zaum Studio/Disco Elysium/ and now it works. My old game is Capital-G GONE, though, which feels terrible.

There was an update last night (or a few hours ago) - at least on the GoG version. And I didn't encounter this issue, so my guess is, this has something to do with steam.
1. Try launching the game directly from the game folder, without using steam.
2. Try launching it as an admin (right-click - run as)
3. See if your antivirus (or anything else) does not block savefiles C:\Users\YOUR_USERNAME\AppData\LocalLow\ZAUM Studio\Disco Elysium\SaveGames - they have some weird filetype extension
4. Also, this is only a hunch, but does either of you have extensivly long username or uses additional directories instead of the one above? Because there's a limit of characters that directory can use - on windows (pre some win10 update), it's 260 characters. So if your character is in some weird-ass area and your path to the save file is longer than the one above, there's a chance that save file was turned from "Disco AutoSave, Doomed Commercial Area, Day 1, 16-31(10_15_2019 9-26-32 PM).ntwtf.zip" to, for example, "Disco AutoSave, Doomed Commercial Area, Day 1, 16-31(10_15_201" - and the game can't find the "original" file it thinks it created.

Since the files existed before, there's a big chance they still do. If you lost several hours of progress it might be worth trying to recover it with some file-recovery apps (plenty online, not linking here because it'll get blocked as a virus).
I know what's causing the issue with me. I'm running the game in 21:9, and sometimes instead of having black bars to the left and right of the screen, the game will try to fill the entire screen, thus chopping off the top and bottom of the screen (thus obscuring the Load button).
A restart of the game will fix it, but it is most annoying.

Please add 21:9 ultrawide support soon.
