edit: Ok, nevermind. I've got the check but it's a tough one!
Agree with the others, this is something you need to address.
It should at the very least come with its own gameover screen but possibly more. Everything in the game up to this point hints at you not really needing to care about this issue (you can refer to yourself as a freaking hobocop who will sleep in the dumpster for starters) and then suddenly going "No, your ♥♥♥♥♥♥ bed in a room with the broken window is the only place you can sleep" makes no sense. Not to mention it can easily ruin several hours of play.
Short of that, for a solution I guess maybe they could just prevent all spending on Day 2 until you've paid your debt, maybe keep track of it separately, automatically deduct it from your regular money? Not sure how you'd implement it. But I *would* love it if you could just sleep on the street, in exchange for some long-lasting penalties.
Wow... you have failed every single check? Including asking Garte for discounts? Where did you put your points?
LOL.
"Unprecedented freedom of choice" trailer says.
I was lucky I managed to get Joyce to bribe/donate at about 11pm
I must really be missing out on a lot. I've turned in a whopping 3.00 in bottles and Shiveles or whatever, donated 10.00 to the national customer fund.
The Pawn shop only bought a cloth rag and something else, that IDK WTF it was, TBH. So, we have almost 14.00 A long way away from 130.
We have that big Sandwich head dude, that we can't get past and a locked door at the top of the stairs by the gate.
EDIT:
Wait a min... Why do I need to sleep, anyway? I just need to find enough dialogue to advance time, to get Kim to go to bed, then wait on the bench.
... right?
Not sure when I got it but there is an ultraliberal thought that gives you a dollar for every ultraliberal option you select. I was so rich by the end of the game. But...I'm just a filthy uncommunist sellout.
The first day I found all the money I needed with the discount. Then I just sellout the rest of the game and had money.
By the end I had 400 and something Reals; sadly there's next to nothing to actually purchase though outside of the books/boardgames/clothes that I already got. I do wonder if it's possible to reach the 700 or so needed for the street lamp in the Pawn shop, and what even happens if you buy it..
