Playable with controller?
Is Disco Elysium playable with a controller? It doesn't state on the game page if it has controller support.
Here's to hoping :)

Nope, it's almost exclusively mouse-driven.

I went into big picture and within 5 minutes I had it working well with an xbox controller.

I just saw that it's coming to consoles next year, so controller support will probably appear on the PC version at some point.

For now I've just been using my Steam controller.

Usually you'll find community configs already setup for you in big picture's controller configurator (per game). If there aren't any, perhaps Terrapin would be kind enough to pin/upload his in steam for you to use.

With a mouse driven game you can put in all the settings you want. I will not be enjoyable playable by controller. Forgett it and buy the console version when it comes out to use controller.

Again I have to take another stance here. There are many games that first came out on PC then on Consoles (of course for controllers) and the developers did not bother to make the PC version usable with controller and gave no option to use keyboard and mouse on Consoles. It happens often. I would not bet on it. :)
I gotta disagree with Shinobi. Lots of mouse and keyboard games work great with the steam controller given a good configuration. I played all of Battletech that way and it was tons of fun and easy to control. An xbox controller probably won't work well but the steam controller can definitely control most mouse and keyboard games quite easily. It's just a bit of work to make a config if there isn't already a good community config available.

I've been using an old Logitech Dual Action controller and for the most part it's fine except it takes a bit of getting used to the right stick as the mouse when selecting dialogue options. Rather clunky would be my description.

I've also taken the plunge and ordered a Steam Controller as from what I've read that plays better with games that are designed for mouse + keyboard. Fingers crossed.

You can also press the number keys to select dialogue options, so you could do something like binding the d-pad directions to 1,2,3 and 4 to cover most options that way.

It's too much of a PITA to be honest for the sake of £11 and I've got lots of other games that I'd think would really benefit.
