Character looks [SPOILERS]

Can I change my character looks (the portrait) or am I stuck with the look from the bathroom mirror? Maybe if I make different decisions when I look at the mirror my look changes? I hate the stupid smile on my face.

You can turn The Expression off with a high enough Electro-chemistry skill.

The wire cutters help, strangely enough.

If you're going for sensitive, you have gut feeling that you shouldn't look at the mirror. If you won't, your portrait will stay blurry.

You can also shave the beard but I don't know how yet. Maybe even change the hair.

You can shave the beard by finding another place to stay. Since this thread has a spoiler warning i'll just come out and tell you where.

The fishing village that unlocks on Wendesday (day three) has an old lady sitting on a chair outside. She will rent (read, give you for aboslutely free) a small shack to stay in. There is a shavingkit in there that you can use to remove the beard. Don't know about the hair, have not found a way yet.

Also yes, the expression is difficult to remove but it is possible.

Can you still get rid of the expression after accessing the shack?? Do you need to keep staying at the hostel to have access to the check?
