Couldn't get off the final boss platform

I reached the final boss Mithrix for the first time and defeated him. But couldn't get off the platform after beating him. The blue shield around the boss area was still in affect when the timer started. I inevitably got killed by the planet. it was a 2 hour run, which now feel like a total waste of time. Was I meant to do something else also? I was given 2 minutes to panicking trying to figure out how to get off the platform.

Yes, you had to jump into one of the blue orbs flying around the boss arena. They would teleport you down.

That is so inconsistent. Throughout the game the use of portals or jump pads are used to transport the player to different platforms or stages. Using blue orbs to teleport the player off the platform on the last boss is just bad game design.

Yep same problem i think everybody ran into. Waste too much time trying to run out like before, then actually use the portal and not have enough time to charge.

Yup, thought those were supposed to be the bombs that were going to blow the moon up first time seeing them. The notes from today's patch say they updated the effect to make them more portal like, but haven't seen them yet. Hopefully it's more evident now.
