Anyone else feels that the Trophy Hunter's Tricorn is OP?

I mean, INSTA KILL a teleport boss AND get their yellow item for free? this seems extremely too good for an equipment.

My suggestion for the nerf is basically to split the item's effect into two separate items, one item (lets call it the executioner) which kill any enemy in an instant -excluding teleporter bosses cause it would be too good- but maybe not make it a single use item and make it have a 120 seconds cooldown, the 2nd item (lets call it marked for blood), where you mark a target and once that target is marked you're guaranteed to get their yellow/boss item to drop.

I'm saying this because I just hit 3 mountain shrines on Stage 4, which spawned an Overloading Worm with something like 1M hp, I had no business winning that, there was no way I would've killed that Worm and yet all I had to do was press a button, not only killing the Worm but also getting a Charged Perforator on top of that.

AND please, no "it's a single player game so things should be broken and balancing shouldn't matter" type of comment, be rational in your reasoning.

You still get that, even if they have the unused version, they get the hat afterwards.

This is actually useful to some degree. As equipment drones only use their equipment when enemies are near. It serves as an alarm. A very polite one at that!

It's also passably useful as a decoy. The best function, though, is to deliberately let it be destroyed so you can give it a different equipment item in a later level.

Why would you get rid of your friendly pirate drone? The coolness factor alone beats any equipment replacement.

It's not overpowered. It kills one boss, which means
early game: you saved yourself like 30 seconds
late game: it probably spawned 4 bosses and the gun only killed one of them

It also takes up an equipment slot... it's honestly pretty bad.

So TLDR :
kill one boss, Post loop 1 it's completely nullyfied by the fact boss spawn 2 by 2.
If you die before loop 1, the problem is the player not the game (I've done no item speedrun mitrix in 11Minutes with captain so don't complain it's the game fault when you missplayed)
if you look for op item look for Gasoline + Forgive me please combo it's completely absurd, only 20 gasoline can One shot bosses, and after 100 gasoline (loop 2 find a gasoline Printer) you can clear the whole map with one tick (out of 6) of Forgive me.

Its excellent for looping (but you probably shouldn't worry about getting multiple of most boss items if even at all), only beatable by raw offense/defense choices for better stages-per-minute or the card for more multishop items. Its only 'nullified' if you never use it.

I feel like it should be turned into a finisher, i mean you're getting essentially a free yellow and taking away most of the teleporter challenge. I'd nerf it to a 10% health execute (or 10% above guillotine's execute for elites) Or 15% of boss's hp on use, and drops yellow if it kills.

it's pretty balanced as it's a single use item that can't be increase, your chances of finding it again aren't very high and if you have a good build you can essentially do the same thing, plus it won't do anything against horde of many or mithrix/voidling.

also it turns into an equipment that says "Ahoy!" so it is the best usable in the game.
