Help with the bandit mastery challenge

So i have been trying to get the alt skin for the bandit for a bit had two runs that were very close to completion but couldn't make it,

been using royal capacitor the dual bands,shaped glass tons of fuel cells,guillotine,the wisp-gasoline combo,crowbars and armor piercing rounds as well as lots of tougher times and as for red items i had afterburner and dio's best friend,

there is probably a few more but i can't recall,it worked fine in the midgame and due to the extra boss damage i could deal with the tp bosses quite easy but the enemy spawns late game are nuts,

what would be a good build to go for?i have a few ideas but not quite sure.

i manged to get to stage 8 on my best runs but just fell short in the tele event

From the sound of your build I could sort of tell you were using command. Since you have an idea of the build you want, I'd say the only thing you can do is be quicker. Gotta get through stages in about 5 minutes. Less would be ideal. You're going to be getting whatever items you want, so time is the only thing that will harm you. I wouldnt get gasoline as well as will o. Its a bit redundant. Rather than that maybe a mixture of backup mags, and crit so youll be getting off hemorrage more consistently. Just go go go! You can do this :) Also Dios imo is a wasted red. If spawns and NOT bosses is your issue, go for the bazooka one. Cant think of the name right now, or ceremonial daggers which trivialises enemy spawns. Id get both and not get afterburner as well, because if you get 2-3 purities, your shift cd will be like 2 seconds.

on my third run i choose to go for on-kill effects instead of royal capacitor got lucky with 2 red items so i picked daggers and afterbuner(didn't think about purity)and got the vodoo doll equipment (can't recall the name) it worked pretty well for dealing with the spawns but those green elites that spawn in stage 7+ are really painfull,time does appear to be my biggest downfall,getting aspects and the other big swamp/forest map (one of the potential maps for stage 4) messes me up time wise

Thats fair man. there are definitely maps that'll slow you down. thats why low cd is bonkers, with full crit. Depending on what secondary you use, on any tough elites, just stack hemorrage, Get a few guillotines if theyre causing you the most trouble. And instead of cap I go for preon to make bosses that much quicker. but both are definitely good! Especially with a ton of fuel cells. Cap is bonkers. I almost never go for an on kill build on anyone. Its cool to think of, but I generally prefer preon or cap for equipment. Or the missile launcher or recycler if im not playing with command. Back to the skin, I obliterated for it as well. Only because I accidentally looped instead of going to moon on stage 5 XD Time is almost definitely the main issue. Try out an early void fields too if you feel confident. It'll just boost an already good run. And thats when you can get your purities.

I feel like my build is working but just gotta be more time efficient,will give purity a shot as well since the luck decrease wouldn't matter much when playing with command,thanks for the tips ^^

If you're rolling command artifact, you could roll a Jade Elephant and build 11 cooldown-reducing items like Fuel Cells and Gesture of the Drowned. 83% damage reduction would make you almost completely invulnerable and thus make your mastery run go a great deal more smoothly.

Sounds like you're building wrong. Stack glasses/scythe for 100% crit, get 1 of each band at minimum, get at least 1 of each speed item early on, some teddy bears, get 4 gestures and spinel tonic and you'll be permanently zooming.

Having 1 of items just for the effect is very useful as well. For reds, tesla coil and clover are just super helpful for killing stuff around you and giving you better RNG rolls for teddies.

after many attempts i finally managed to complete the challenge, went with the perma tonic strat using gestures and fuel cells,haven't done this combo before so going at mach 5 speed running through enemies and zapping them with the coil while unloading the shotty like a madman was a fun experience

yeah as others have said. go for crit build. a lot of the rang characters do well with this. crit glasses, scythe, leeching seeds, goat hooves, feather. everything else is a bonus

I hate to be that guy , but you just need to get better. I did it on my second attempt without artifacts. Perhaps you aren't using each of his abilities to their full potential.

Nothing improves the rolls for tougher times except more tougher times. The clover has no effect unless they changed something in the last 2 months since I haven't played

If you want consistent masteries, i have the solution. I got like 8 masteries back to back with this way. Here are the artifacts you need to enable:

Artifact of Command
Artifact of Kin
Artifact of Sacrifice
Artifact of Swarms
Artifact of Chaos

After you enable these, just jump into the game and proceed as quickly as you can. For bandit, items i recommend are:

-crowbar, glasses, medkit, hoof, tougher times, brooch
-scythe, fuel cell, guillotine, feather, whip
-tesla coil, aegis

If you have the tesla coil, you can just run around if you have speed items and the coil will heal you (assuming you have 5+ glasses and a couple scythes) and if you have aegis you'll have full hp + shields at all times. All you need to do is one shot with R (need some crowbars for that) and keep your invisibility up at all times. If you have afterburner as well, you'll have 3 shift abilities and it will become extremely easy. If you feel like tesla is killing everything and your damage is pretty good, you can stack tougher times and you'll survive for sure. Try to go for the loop instead of mithrix. This method is consistent and it works most of the time, it kinda depends on what monster spawns on the levels. Also, don't get items like gasoline, will o the wisp etc. since you can damage yourself with artifact of chaos enabled, but this applies to enemies as well so msot of the time enemies will kill themselves (especially the fire elites) and all you need to do is run around and put that tesla coil to work. Ok, I'd like to say I don't agree with most of everyone else here lol
1. Artifact of chaos can easily kill you even in solo, dont use it lol
1b. Kin is also kinda lame but its ok I guess
2. ceremonial dagger is probably better than tesla, but you're forgetting that clover, bazooka, shattering justice, and meat hook exist.
3. yeah, dont get gas and will-o-wisp, but not for that reason. try stacking proc items like tri-tip dagger, sticky bomb, ATG, and ukulele (but primarily ATG missile launcher)
4. get syringe, goat hoof, and tougher times
5. click the enemy and win instantly

also 5 gesture + spinel tonic + 3 war horn is good
