New Character Too Over Powered? Spoilers!

The secret new character, not the bandit. Subtle hints in the game, but not obvious. That's a tip, not a spoiler, here's the spoilers.

So i have been experimenting with the Heretic, had to rename my profile because of how much im gonna overplay her, she is really insanely good, heavily relies on lunar item usage but is insanely strong.

I just tested her abilities and stacking items in a very long game, stacking her abilities doubles their initial cooldown time per stack, only really effective on honor with brainstalks, less effective without honor, even more less effective without brainstalks stacking alien heads and purity.

But who needs that, just unlock her, and then get 5 purity for 3 visions to allow for more potent primary attacking without a noticable cooldown, then you spam her secondary.

Ruin is buggy i believe, sometimes it doesn't do anything and other times it one shots something with 2mil hp.

Attack speed doesnt help at all as far as i'm aware of, other then visions, so it's not really useful. I found stacking focus, apr and gordon freemans weapon of choice to be the best bet.

As for healing sustain, i recommend either of two setups, either get 3 fuel cells, gesture and tonic to borderline negate the health degen, or 15 fuel cells, gesture, foreign fruit and opinion to both make yourself nearly indestructable while adding an additional dps source that contributes faster ruin stacks.

Now as for possibly permanently unlocking her, i think there's a few hints dropped in the logbook, Chaos and Providence is mentioned, Providence being a character with a blue and green sword, i know mithrix has a hammer, but in the new mithrix stage there is a sword on a floating island and a few broken swords around the red pillar, trying to figure it out.

Well leave any info you can on her build ideas and possible hints to permanently unlocking her, the developers are being vague

Do you think the Beads are related? Nothing says the Moment Whole has to be the only use of them. They ARE stated to be a Heresy item.

Well, my memory isn't the best, gotta give you that one. In any case, Heretic does feel like there's some sort of more elaborate secret here, maybe Hopoo are trying a new feature that players can't just edit the .xml file to unlock stuff. Or maybe we're overthinking it and it's a teaser / easter egg.

Not sure if you know that Providence was the final boss of the first game, we all believed that he was responsible for the crash of the Contact Light (the ship from the first game) but the heretic's logbook entry tells a somwhat different story, i don't know...what makes you think we can permanently unlock her (btw, haven't replayed the final stage yet so i can't say anything about those swords)?

I died in void fields because i got pushed off the ledge and the degen instantly kills you when you have 1 hp

I didn't remember the name of the boss in the first game, i totally forgot.

You can circumvent the degen with 2 cautious slugs, anymore and the regen begins, you can also mitigate a bit between fights with the strides.

Have you tried 5 purity and 3 visions? Throw in either a tonic or fruit build and she is DOPE, even without them she is strong. I did a basic missile launcher run with just 5 fuel cells for added on hits, still strong.

more like 11 purities, 3 visions, 3 of the secondary ones, 2 of the ruin ones, and infinite tonic. was pretty good but not broken.

dude I had instant cooldowns for everything already, it's still not OP

DONT get spinel tonic on her!! it doubles the health drain! Make sure you got a SURPLUS of healing to counteract it before you do it!
