huntress: boomerang go doonkadoonkadoonk
engineer: what wisps?
merc: literally dashing through everything
mulT: nailgun go brr
Artificer: shocking revelations
Loader: also shocking revelations
Captain: shotgun has huge pushback so slamming them into a surface will usually finish them off
Rex & Acrid: eh get a ukulele?
Even if it seems to you that being distracted by wisps is spending too much time - no, you need to be distracted by wisps. At least until you get enough AoE.
Of course, this does not apply to the absolute 100% of cases, there are enemies such as elite golems or clay templars etc, but nonetheless.
2) AoE items. Ukulele, wisp in a bottle, gasoline. etc. Even a some of these items make life easier. This is especially important for characters with a weak starting AoE.
3) Repulsion armor is super effective against Wisps, even 2-3 stacks make their damage negligible (reduces to 1 damage as a rule) and allows you to tank them all day.
And yes, f*ck the wisps.
Well, yes. The Wisps are absolutely the most annoying enemy in the game even if they can't actually kill you (but they actually can) . And the fact that they need to be paid much more attention than others makes them much more annoying. But that's the whole point of these enemies, I suppose...
